The mission of the Isaiah Stone Foundation is to help families who care for someone who has epilepsy, support organizations seeking to cure the disease and inspire others to lead. We support people by giving them hope that a life without epilepsy is worth dreaming about, acting upon and pushing for each and every day.
The Isaiah Stone Foundation honors Isaiah’s memory by raising awareness about pediatric epilepsy, supporting parents of children who suffer from epilepsy, and raising money to fund medical research and practice. Our hope is that we can help someone else with epilepsy and be a part of finding a cure.
Some of pediatric epilepsy’s greatest challenges have been a lack of knowledge about the disease among the general public and a shortage of dedicated practitioners within the field of pediatric neurology.
Currently the Isaiah Stone Foundation supports:
CURE Epilepsy: Renzi Stone serves on the board of directors for the world’s largest and leading funding source for cure-based epilepsy research.
ISPELS: Since 2012, the Isaiah Stone Pediatric Epilepsy Lecture Series at the OU College of Medicine Department of Neurology has trained medical school residents by sponsoring an interactive grand rounds lecture with some of the leading child neurologists in the United States.
OU Department of Neurology: Working closely with department leadership, ISF has sponsored the training of nurses in the ketogenic diet and other identified special projects.
ISF Small Grants Program: Serving Medicaid and lower income families of children with epilepsy, the ISF Small Grants Program is a safety net program aimed at assisting families by providing for special and basic needs.
Isaiah Stone Scholarship: The Isaiah Stone Scholarship at Youth Leadership Oklahoma is a peer-voted partial scholarship awarded annually to one member of Leadership Oklahoma’s youth program.
The Isaiah Stone Fund at Children’s Hospital Foundation: This fund is specially designated for epilepsy-related programs at OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Our mission is to help families who care for someone who has epilepsy, support organizations seeking to cure the disease and inspire others to lead. We support people by giving them hope that a life without epilepsy is worth dreaming about, acting upon and pushing for each and every day.
